Speaking

Now retired US Army Soldier Patricia King is an LGBTQ advocate and a project management specialist with over 20 years of military service. Patricia was America's first openly transgender infantry solider and a pioneer of gender equality within the US Military. She has over 17 years of multiple leadership positions and has lead teams internationally. From this experience Patricia has learned that teams are at their best when everyone can bring their whole self to the table.

More than ever, businesses and organizations are embracing the idea that diverse groups bring more perspectives and problem solve more effectively. Most importantly, they're starting to realize the value of being authentic in the workplace. Diversity and inclusion are directly benefiting the bottom line.

Patricia's impactful story will motivate and entice audiences while breaking down the barriers that often keep us from reaching our inclusion goals. Trish will show that there is a strength in vulnerability and that when you are willing to lead from the front, people will follow.

Testimonials

"Patricia helped lead such a powerful conversation to our staff that covered the loos of power that can happen to MTF transgender individuals. To watch her lead this conversation, knowing the adversity she has faced while wearing a military uniform, not only made me honored to be in her presence, but proud to call her my sister in arms."

"Cape Cod PRIDE was honored to have Patricia King as a special guest speaker at our PRIDE 2018 Festival. As the first U.S. Army infantry soldier to come out as transgender, she eloquently spoke about her experiences as a transgender solider and the challenged facing her and other transgender soldiers. She spoke from the heart and moved the crowd with her story."
